In safe hands
I’m Louise Acher, a passionate and dedicated Sports Therapist and Personal Trainer.
I graduated as a Sports Therapist with a BSC Hons degree in 2005. Since then, I have worked with semi-professional football teams, two of them being AFC Wimbledon and Corinthian Casuals. I have worked alongside many local running clubs and for many years I have worked with adults and young people with a learning disability.
Using Personal Training, I am able to help many different people from a young age to adults over 60, to keep an active and healthy lifestyle. I have spent 6 years working in education which now opens my door to help and support more young people to meet their physical goals and treat their injuries.
I have a big love for sport, especially long distance running, which I have actively participated in for 20 years. I have completed many half marathons and 10Ks, 7 marathons and 1 ultra and I'm still going strong.
I know how it feels to enjoy a sport that you love, build confidence, have a positive mindset in order to achieve goals and succeed, though it is not always plain sailing! Injuries, aches and pains prevent our bodies from fulfilling our potential, which is frustrating.
In my work I complete lots of Continued Professional Development (CPD) and I am registered with The Sports Therapy Association with indemnity insurance through Balens.
What people are saying...
“It’s been a difficult week and at one point I thought I’d need to abandon the climb. I started feeling some pain in my hip, so much so that I had to abandon the training walks and runs. But my Sports Therapist Louise, has saved the day! She calmed me down over the phone, squeezed in a quick session to examine me despite her packed schedule, pinpointed the issue and the fix. She’s thoroughly amazing and I can’t recommend her highly enough.”
“You’re a miracle worker!
My legs felt so much better running this evening, thank you!”
" I came to see Louise for a sports massage after several months of working from home on my kitchen table resulted in my shoulder and neck becoming very sore and tight. I have had many sports massages over the years for various sports related niggles and can happily say, this was the best one I've ever had and, a week on, still no shoulder pain. I would happily recommend Louise to anyone looking for sports therapy. Excellent value for money and I'll definitely be booking in another one in the near future!”
“Just walked to the station, hip feels amazing! In fact,
hasn’t felt this pain free in months. You’re fantastic!”
